the wedding
The Venue
Our open air, nature centered wedding venue is everything we could have hoped for. In the heart of Tennessee's rural Milton fields, our ceremony spot is under the perfect amount of shade cast down by a row of sugar maples. The entire venue is grass, so make sure you wear appropriate shoes! Parking is a short walk from the ceremony and reception site, but shuttle carts will be available for your convenience. We're truly in love with this spot, and can't wait to see it as the background to our celebrations.
The Reception
Our short ceremony will be immediately followed by dinner and dancing. The dinner buffet will serve salad, authentic Italian pizzas, and various charcuterie-style fruits and veggies. For dessert, cake of course! A self serve coffee bar will also be present for all our favorite caffeine lovers.
Frequently asked questions
When is the RSVP deadline?
In order to make sure we have a space and a plate for you, please respond no later than September 1st. In the case of an absent reply, your RSVP will default to a "No".
What should I wear?
We'd love to see our favorite people dressed up for our big day! Dress code is formal. Our palette is jewel tones, feel free to dress in line with our colors! Weather is unpredictable in Tennessee and our whole day will be under open sky, so dress accordingly! Please no jeans.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before our ceremony begins. Parking is a small walk from the ceremony site, so a few extra minutes will allow you to get parked, find your seat, and even mingle if you desire!
Can I bring a plus one?
Unfortunately, we are only able to accommodate the guests listed by name on your wedding invitation. If you did receive a plus one, it will be listed on your invite. Please respect our wishes and help keep our celebration intimate.
Are my kids invited?
We love our guests and their little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding an adults-only event with the exception of our wedding party. We encourage you to have this evening as a date night, on us!
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We've decided on an "unplugged ceremony", so we invite you to be fully present with us during our biggest moment by switching off all phones and cameras. We love our photographer and we're sure you will too! However, feel free to fill your camera roll during the reception, we'd love to see the party through your eyes.
